FF&J Excavating is a family owned and operated business located in beautiful Jackson, New Hampshire. We offer site development services to both private and public clients ranging from excavation to hard scapes. Our extensive equipment inventory allows us to complete jobs ranging from small projects to major subdivisions.
FF&J Excavating was founded in 1976 by Fred and Fran Henry. They began only with a worn out backhoe and a single axle truck working part time on nights and weekends. In the early days work mostly consisted of repairing driveways, septic systems, waterlines and hauling aggregate.
It wasn't long after, little Jay came along and began overtaking dad's equipment. In 1995, with an increasing work load we expanded the fleet and hired 3 more employees. Jobs have grown from small repair jobs to larger site and road work.
The future is looking bright with the possibilty of adding the third generation to help Fred and Jay.
"I recently purchased a home in Intervale and found that in the time between the home inspection and the closing, that quite a lot of damage had been done to the driveway. I was worried that if it was not repaired or patched before winter, that the damage to the driveway would get worse, and we might have suspension issues with our vehicles. FF&J responded quickly to my phone call with a load of gravel on a Sunday morning and spread it throughout the driveway. A big storm was on its way the next day so the timing could not have been better; now the gravel is frozen into place. I plan to call FF&J to do further repairs on the driveway as well as for some expected septic work next year."
